Happy halloween!
Audiobook preorder announcements and kickstarter update!
Happy Halloween from Jake and Mia, and a little short scene!
Holy. Fucking. Hell. Every time I think I can’t fall more in love with this woman, she proves me wrong.
She doesn’t see me at first, standing in front of the mirror in her white gown, looking like half angel and half temptation.
When she said dress up as Phantom of the Opera, I didn’t expect this.
I stay in the doorway, half hidden by the dark, just watching. My wife. My princess.
The white off-the-shoulder gown clings to her like it was tailored by the devil himself to tempt me. The corset draws every line of her waist into something unreal, the slit exposing just enough skin to fucking ruin me.
She catches my reflection and smirks, enough to tell me she knows exactly what I’m thinking.
I cross the room slowly, and stand behind her. The mask I’m wearing hides half my face, but not the hunger in my eyes.
I hold out a single red rose in front of her. She watches as I trail it down her arm, across the bare curve of her shoulder, to where the slit of her gown reveals her thigh. Her breath stutters.
“You’re ethereal,” I whisper, my voice rough under the mask. “I’m not sure I’ll survive the drive without a taste of you.”
She tilts her head just enough for her lips to graze my ear. “You’ll survive, Jacob Harrington,” she whispers, biting the edge of my ear before trying to walk away. But she doesn’t make it to the door before I catch up to her. My hands find her waist as I back her against the wall.
I know I got her exactly where I want her when she bites her bottom lips.
“Please, princess.” I press a kiss to the side of her neck, feeling her pulse beneath my lips. “Just one taste.”
“If I give you a taste now,” she trails her fingers down the bulge in my pants. “It’ll ruin the fun I have planned for us at the party.”
“Fun?” I rest my forehand against hers.
“Don’t you want to haunt me through my grandmother’s vineyard,” she teases, “and do whatever you want with me, Phantom?”
I can’t help the small smile that slips out. “I’m happy to haunt you for the rest of my life, princess,” I whisper, inhaling the scent of Jasmine off her skin. “And the afterlife, too.”

Kickstarter update!
My kickstarter is still live, and we’re so close to reach 6K.
We’ve unlocked the Deluxe Paperback!
The paperback now includes
Foil cover
Duplex cover
spray edges
When I launched this kickstarter, I didn’t know if anyone would be interested in a dark academia hockey romance with a Black hockey player and an Afro Latina Figure skater.
I’ve seen other kickstarter campaigns raise thousands of dollars, but those characters never look like my characters. Even though I believe in my story and characters, I’ve never expected to reach 5K. You guys proved me wrong, and that our stories deserve the pretty editions too. We still have 14 days to go.
If you’ve already backed, share, or even talked about it, thank you.
If you haven’t backed up my kickstarter, and would like to, here’s the link!
What’s next?
I’m currently working on book two and also thinking about releasing a novelette prequel of when Luna and Zayden met three years ago.
Second round of Arc Sign ups are now Open!
Other books to check out!
